Hi and welcome to Mckay Designs, I'm Janette and my love of travel and painting have been combined to create one off pieces of furniture.

Based on the Wirral, I'm a fully trained decorative painter and my passion is to layer and blend colours to give vintage furniture a whole new lease of life.

My inspiration comes from my travels to India, Cambodia, Bali and more. I am that traveler that’s taking photos of decrepit doors and backstreet markets! 

I use a variety of techniques for layering and blending, and metallic finishes for a bit of wow. I've recently been made a content creator for Dixie Belle and they are my preferred products to use.

Apart from items for sale I also offer a commission service, whether its furniture from my stock or an item you already have, I can help design and create something unique to you.
