A truly individual piece of hand painted vintage furniture, created for lovers of colour, character and something a little different.
This vintage reproduction chest of drawers has been completely transformed by hand using a combination of decoupage, layered paint, added decorative trims and subtle washes of green bronze.
The floral decoupage has been enhanced with multiple layers and washes, allowing some of the underlying colour and detail to show through. I’ve deliberately added touches of green bronze across the trims and painted areas to soften the look of the paper and give the whole piece a more aged, layered and interesting finish.
It’s those little details that make this piece special — rather than simply applying decorative paper, I’ve worked back into it and added my own painted effects to create something with much more depth and individuality.
The original handles have been retained, adding to its vintage character.
Perfect as a bedside or lamp table
Although originally a small chest of drawers, its proportions make it wonderfully versatile. It could be used as:

• Occasional table
• Decorative storage in a hallway, living room or bedroom
With three drawers, it also offers useful storage while taking up relatively little space — ideal for today’s homes.
As with all my furniture, this is a one-off piece. I love taking vintage furniture and giving it a completely new personality while retaining some of its original character.
