A striking pair of vintage Kinco brass vases, beautifully decorated in an ornate Persian/Middle Eastern style.
These unusual tapered vases feature intricate engraved decoration throughout, with floral and scrolling motifs surrounding two wonderfully detailed figural panels. The long, slender handles add to their distinctive silhouette and make them particularly decorative pieces for display.
Both vases are stamped KINCO to the underside.
Kinco was the trade name of British Metal (Kingston) Ltd, an English company known for producing decorative brassware, including pieces decorated with intricate engraved and coloured designs. Examples of Kinco brassware were made in Persian-inspired styles and for the Persian market.
They would make a lovely statement displayed together on a console, sideboard, mantel or open shelving, and would work particularly well with eclectic, collected and vintage interiors.
Condition:
Both are in good vintage condition with the expected signs of age. There is some natural darkening/patina and variation to the surface, which I feel adds considerably to their character. Please study the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
I have chosen not to over-polish them, retaining the aged character and depth of colour to the engraved decoration.
