A beautiful vintage Stag chest of drawers, given a completely new lease of life with a carefully hand-painted finish.
This classic piece has been transformed by hand, while retaining the charm and character of its original vintage form. The beautiful blue-green tones have been built up in layers to create depth, movement and a softly aged finish, with the original detailing complemented by decorative raised mouldings and original hardware.
Subtle texture has been added in areas, washes of dark green bronze have been used to highlight these parts.
Each drawer has its own subtle variation in colour and texture, making this a truly individual piece of furniture rather than something mass-produced.

Perfect for adding character to a bedroom, dressing room, hallway or living space, this chest would work beautifully as both practical storage and a decorative focal point.
The generous drawers provide useful storage, while the hand-painted finish brings a little creativity and personality to an otherwise classic vintage piece.
The interiors have been cleaned and re stained.
About the finish
This chest has been completely hand painted by me using multiple layers and washes of colour. I work slowly to build up the finish, allowing some of the underlying tones and detailing to show through.
It has then been finished to provide a durable, practical surface while retaining the character of a hand-painted piece.
Please remember that this is a vintage piece of furniture and may show some signs of its previous life. Any imperfections are part of its charm and are embraced within the painted finish.
